The Dr. Jay Children’s Grief Centre is a Toronto based charity that provides compassionate care, support and education to grieving children, youth and their families while building strength, resilience and hope. The Dr. Jay Children’s Grief Centre provides counselling and psychosocial support to children who are dying, and also to children and youth who are experiencing the death of a family member, before, during, and after a loss. We facilitate educational and support-based groups for families and caregivers of grieving and terminally ill children. Our staff develop and deliver outreach initiatives and training to professionals, volunteers, and the community at large about the unique needs of children facing terminal illness and bereaved children.
· Counselling for children, youth and families who are living with the dying or death of a sibling, parent or primary caregiver, or who are living with terminal illness themselves.
· Bereavement camps for children (Camp Erin), and families (Camp Kindness).
